Oleh Kobylin

1995 – graduated from the Faculty of Computer Engineering, Kharkiv State Technical University of Radio Electronics, in the specialism “Computer Intelligent Systems and Networks”, qualification: systems engineer.

2004 – Assistant, Department of Informatics, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (part-time).

2007 – Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD), speciality 01.05.02 “Mathematical Modelling and Computational Methods”. Dissertation: “Methods and Models of Adaptive Normalisation in Machine Vision Systems”. Defended on 18 December 2007 before specialised academic council D 64.052.02 at NURE.

2008 – Associate Professor, Department of Informatics, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.

2012 – awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Informatics.

Teaches the courses “Programming Technology”, “Information Networks”, “Computer Network Security” and “Information Management and Data Storage”.

Certified instructor of the Cisco Networking Academy.

Coordinator of the academic partnership with Dell EMC.

Jury member of all-Ukrainian school olympiads since 2013.

Took part as a researcher or principal researcher in the state-funded research projects “Models and Methods of Granulation and Interpretation of Multidimensional Data” and “Models and Methods of Analysis and Interpretation of Dynamic Processes”.

Research interests: image processing and recognition, data mining.

Author of more than 40 publications, 2 patents and 5 copyright registration certificates.

Awarded certificates of merit by the University and a letter of appreciation by the city education department.

Took part in a number of international conferences in Spain and Poland.

Member of the University Academic Council.
