About the department
We train the people who design, build and maintain information systems — from code and databases to data analysis and IT project management.
The Department of Information Control Systems (ICS) at NURE teaches specialty F3 Computer Science, from Bachelor to Doctor of Philosophy. We give the foundation that does not go out of date — algorithms and programming, databases, information systems design, data analysis, IT project management — and teach students to apply it to real tasks from the start.
Studies run alongside the industry: specialists from our partner IT companies (ProfITSoft, SoftServe, EPAM, NIX Solutions and others) run training sessions and involve students in their projects, so most of our students receive job offers while still studying. The Department has been working since 1958, and its graduates now work in IT companies across Ukraine and worldwide.
