On 6 December 2017, two developments by young researchers from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics won at once at the Startup Fair, at which higher education institutions of the city and individual developer teams presented their projects to potential investors.
The winners were Professor of the KITAM Department Serhii Novoselov and Senior Lecturer Oleksandr Donskov with the “Demokrat” electronic voting system project, as well as Senior Lecturer of the ICS Department Anna Pecherska and Anna Poimenova, a Master’s student of group ITBMm-17-1, with the “Pregnancy” project — an information system for determining adverse pregnancy outcomes
“Today, doctors define miscarriage and premature birth as a complex medical and social problem, one that is the female body’s response to the processes taking place within it. The system we have developed is based on the latest mathematical models and allows a correct determination of the probability of an adverse pregnancy outcome, based on an analysis of the quantitative characteristics of clinical and laboratory diagnostic results for changes in metabolic marker indicators in the blood serum of the pregnant woman,” said Anna Pecherska about the “Pregnancy” system.
According to the developers, winning at the fair opens up great prospects for implementing the projects.
