We invite you to take part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Systems and Technologies in Medicine” ISM–2018, which will be held from 28 to 30 November 2018 in Kharkiv, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Conference themes:
- Section 1. E-health.
- Section 2. Mathematical modelling of biological processes and systems.
- Section 3. Intelligent technologies in medicine and clinical decision support systems.
- Section 4. Evidence-based medicine and bioethical aspects in the information society.
- Section 5. Problems of transmitting, processing, analysing, storing and protecting medical and biological information.
- Section 6. IT management in healthcare and quality management of medical care.
Invited to take part in the conference are: scholars, lecturers, doctoral candidates, postgraduate and Master’s students of higher education institutions; leading researchers in information technologies in medicine; heads and specialists of medical organisations responsible for implementing information technologies in healthcare and the social sphere; and representatives of clients and developers of medical information systems of various levels and functional purposes.
The working languages of the conference are Ukrainian, English and Russian.
A collection of conference proceedings is planned for publication: “Information Systems and Technologies in Medicine” (ISM–2018).
Authors of presentations dealing with the most relevant and up-to-date IT solutions for the healthcare sector will be offered the opportunity to publish their results as a scientific article in a special issue of the journal “Automated Control Systems and Automation Devices”.
To take part in the conference you need to send to the organising committee’s address:
- an application according to the attached form (Appendix 1) or complete online registration at http://ics.taisp.net/mizhnarodna-naukovo-tehnichna-konferentsiya-informatsiyni-sistemi-ta-tehnologiyi-v-meditsini-ism-2018/;
- abstracts of the presentation in printed and electronic form, prepared according to the requirements and sample (Appendices 2, 3).
The abstract must clearly and consistently set out the substance of the presentation and the new original results obtained by the authors;
- a copy of the receipt for payment of the organisational fee (the organisational fee is paid after notification of acceptance of the abstract for publication, but no later than 2 weeks before the conference begins).

Cost of participation in the conference:
The organisational fee is: in-person participation – UAH 70 (for citizens of other countries – €30); part-time/remote participation – UAH 50 (for citizens of other countries – €20).
Forms of participation: oral presentation, publication of abstract only, or attendance without presentation.
The organisational fee is intended to partially cover the costs of holding the conference, including publishing the programme, printing the collection of scientific papers, participants’ certificates, technical support for the event, etc.).

An in-person presentation of the results of your research into the development and use of IT technologies in medicine gives you the opportunity to receive a personalised certificate of conference participation.
The electronic version of the collection is provided free of charge.
NOTE. All costs associated with attending the conference (travel, accommodation, meals, etc.) are paid by the participants themselves or by the sending organisation).
The conference is held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES), in accordance with the minutes of the meeting of 06.03.2018 on the selection of international scientific conferences planned to be held by higher education institutions during 2018.
