Internet Technologies Lab

The University Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Internet Technologies is part of the ASIT Research Centre, which coordinates the work of the department’s laboratories (Department Regulations, clause 1.8).

Research areas

• methodologies, methods and information technologies for the development of integrated and Web-based information systems (D.Sc., Prof. Levykin V.M.);
• development of models, methods and technologies of automated management of business processes (including variable structure) in conditions of uncontrolled external disturbances (D.Sc., Prof. Chalyi S.F.);
• research of models and methods of intellectual design of information systems and management of IT projects (D.Sc., Prof. Ievlanov M.V.).

Connection with the educational process

The laboratory is involved in the educational process in the preparation of Bachelor's and Master's students in speciality F3 Computer Science, under the following educational programmes:

• educational and professional programme “Information Technology for Management”, first (Bachelor's) level of higher education in speciality F3 Computer Science;
• educational and professional programme “Information Control Systems and Technology”, second (Master's) level (qualification: Master's);
• educational and research programme “Project Management in the Field of Information Technology”, second (Master's) level (qualification: Master's);
• educational and research programme “Computer Science”, third (PhD) level (qualification: Doctor of Philosophy).

The student research group “IT Project Management” is active at the laboratory (supervisors: Prof. Ievlanov M.V., Prof. Vasyltsova N.V.).

In 2021, based on the results of student research carried out at the laboratory, 16 abstracts of scientific reports were published, and 4 papers took part in the second rounds of All-Ukrainian student research contests. The paper by student Kuzma E.A. (group UPHIT-20-1; supervisor Candidate of Technical Sciences, Prof. of the ICS Department Vasyltsova N.V.) received a diploma for 2nd place in the second round of the All-Ukrainian contest of student research papers in the speciality “Information and Communication Technologies in Education” (Melitopol, Bohdan Khmelnytsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University).

The laboratory organised and held the section “Project Management and Modern Information Technologies in the Management of Organisations” at the Faculty of Computer Science conference “Information Intelligent Systems”, within the International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the 21st Century”.

Research achievements

The contractual R&D project № 20-08 “Study of the results of monitoring the web-based information system in operation” is under way (supervisor: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Levykin V.M.).

The laboratory organised and held the section “Modern information systems and technologies: problems, methods, models. Project and programme management” within the 10th International Scientific and Technical Conference “Information Systems and Technologies IST-2021”.

Candidate's dissertation defended: Kateryna Chyrkova, “Models, methods and information technology of choosing a design solution for reengineering specialized information systems” (05.13.06 – Information Technologies). Supervisor: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Mikhnova A.V.
